At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a welder. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right." Welder Job Responsibilities Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components Maintain raw material and product identification and record data into ERP system Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and work in progress Welder Qualifications 1 year welding experience Mechanical and mathematical aptitude Ability to use precision measuring tools Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift High school diploma or equivalent required Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment Benefits Competitive pay and merit-based increases Comprehensive health, dental, life and vision insurance Career advancement opportunities in a growing company Supportive, team-oriented work environment Paid time off and retirement plan options This is a Monday-Friday, day shift position with some overtime available on Saturdays.
