Michigan City, IN | Day Shift | $17-$20/hour Want to learn how to weld and build a skilled trade career? We'll train you! Our Michigan City fabrication facility is looking for a motivated Welder Trainee/Entry-Level Welder to learn welding and heavy fabrication through hands-on, on-the-job training. This is a great opportunity for a recent trade school, career center, vocational or welding program graduate — or someone who is mechanically inclined and wants to learn a skilled trade. What You'll Do Learn to weld from experienced welders and fabricators Assist with grinding, material preparation, fitting and fabrication Learn to read blueprints and weld symbols Use hand tools, welding equipment and shop equipment Gain the skills needed to advance into a Welder position

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Wants to learn welding and fabrication Is dependable and willing to work Has good mechanical aptitude and enjoys hands-on work Can follow instructions and work safely Is willing to work overtime as needed No previous welding experience required. Trade school, welding, manufacturing, automotive, construction or other hands-on experience is a plus. Pay & Benefits $17.00-$20.00/hour, based on experience
