$20.00 - $29.00 per hour (commensurate with experience) About Us At Maize Corporation and Maxx Attachments, we design and manufacture high-quality attachments, parts, custom equipment, and specialized metal fabrications. We are looking for a reliable, skilled Welder / Fabrication Shop Hand to join our team. If you thrive in a versatile shop environment where no two days are identical, this is the job for you. Primary Responsibilities Welding & Assembly (Primary Role): Perform high-quality MIG welding (and TIG/Stick as needed) on steel and stainless steel according to shop drawings and specifications.

Blueprint Reading & Layout:

Read blueprints, use measuring tools, and set up fixtures/tack-welds to ensure accurate specs before final pass.

Shop Support & Fabrication:

Step in wherever needed across the shop — operating horizontal band saws, drill presses, hand grinders, etc.

Part Prep & Cleanup:

Clean, deburr, bevel, and prepare parts for welding or final assembly.

Material Handling:

Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging to transport metal and assemblies. Qualifications & Skills Solid experience in MIG welding (TIG/Stick experience is a plus). Strong ability to read and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and tape measures. Hands-on experience with shop power tools (angle grinders, band saws, drills, shears). Strong work ethic, attention to detail, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset. Comfortable working in a team environment and willing to jump into general shop tasks as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
