General Summary Welds ferrous and non-ferrous metals. May use GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding processes. Sets own welding machine, changes wire spools, gas cylinders, and does preventive maintenance of welding machine, wire feeder and related equipment. Loads own parts in fixtures. May be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and operation of robotic (or cobot) welding equipment.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift Fabricate new metal components in accordance with product data sheets and in compliance with all applicable standards of safety and performance Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard. Keep workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment Execute welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Notify manager of inventory needs May be required to grind welds Performs other duties as assigned by the
