Welder / Fabricator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join our dynamic mechanics team in our current Louisiana project. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality marine structures, ductwork, piping systems, and custom metal projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and a keen eye for detail. Current project is located in Amelia Louisiana, but headquarters are located in Stafford, TX. Candidates MUST be willing to travel as well as pass background and drug test. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals securely Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to shape and assemble metal components Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, piping systems, and custom parts according to project requirements Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly processes Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure all welds and fabrications meet industry safety and quality regulations Requirements Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background involving metal fabrication Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, plasma cutting, soldering, and welding techniques Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, machining equipment, and schematics Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of pipe threading, assembly processes, and rigging operations Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Experience working with ductwork or sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable Valid certification or demonstrated experience in welding codes & standards such as ASME is preferred Join our team where your craftsmanship makes a difference!
