ARC Energy is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our certified ASME Section VIII Division 1 fabrication shop in New Iberia, LA. We specialize in fabricating high-quality pressure vessels, process equipment, and components for the oil and gas industry, adhering to strict code standards with an emphasis on safety, precision, and reliability.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience welding in an ASME Section VIII Division 1 code-compliant environment Proficiency in relevant welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, SMAW, FCAW) for pressure vessel and structural fabrication Ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and adhere to ASME code specifications Relevant certifications (AWS, ASME quals, etc.) preferred Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality and safety, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented shop setting Reliable transportation and willingness to work in a fast-paced fabrication facility All selected candidates will need to pass a 6G welding test before a position is offered Additional Qualifications Ability to work overtime when required Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend / stoop, squat / crouch, climb, kneel and twist Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely High school diploma or GED preferred. Must pass required drug screening and background check. Work Environment This position is performed primarily in an industrial fabrication shop. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, welding fumes, paint vapors, and heavy equipment. Proper PPE is required at all times.
