Job Description

Position Overview:
Seeking Welder/Fitters for a fabrication facility in Rowley, MA. Openings are available for both Iron Welder/Fitters (experience preferred) and Structural Welders (training available for candidates with the right background).
Pay:
$21-26/hr
Job Responsibilities:
Layout and assemble steel components according to approved shop drawings. Tack weld parts onto structural members. Read and apply AWS welding symbols before welding. Weld steel components based on shop drawings and inspected fit-up requirements. Maintain a steady production pace while working with fabrication team members. Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy. Communicate any issues with drawings, fit-up, or workmanship. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Skills:
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings. Strong layout skills using tape measures, framing squares, protractors, lasers, and levels. Understanding of basic measurements, geometry, and fabrication processes. Ability to operate welding equipment and produce quality welds. Experience with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, or STUD welding preferred. Ability to use welding tools including grinders, chipping hammers, needle guns, torches, and measuring equipment. Ability to safely operate shop overhead crane systems.
