Grondin is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Welder / Fabricator to perform repair and custom fabrication work on heavy construction equipment and steel components. Responsibilities Perform MIG and stick welding. Repair and fabricate heavy equipment, attachments, snowplows, and structural steel components. Measure, cut, fit, and weld steel as needed. Diagnose damaged components and complete repairs independently. Safely operate common welding and fabrication tools. Perform shop and occasional field repairs. Qualifications Experience with MIG and stick welding. Strong fabrication and fitting skills. Experience with heavy-gauge or structural steel. Ability to work independently and produce quality repairs. Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed. State of Maine welding certification, heavy equipment repair experience, hardfacing experience, and CDL are preferred. This is not a production-line welding position . The work changes from day to day and may involve everything from repairing an excavator bucket in the morning to fabricating a structural component, repairing a snowplow or working on crushing equipment later in the week.
