Job Description Newport Industrial Fabrication is seeking experienced welders and welder/fitters to join the dayshift. Individuals will be responsible for performing steel fabrication duties such as cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting, and welding of steel assemblies. Individuals are required to pass a welder qualification test to perform code-required welds.

Shift:

(5) 8-hour days Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm, with overtime as needed.

Pay:

$20-$25/hr. Starting pay based on experience. Job Tasks Interpret/understand technical drawings containing weld symbols Interpret/understand Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) documents Operating pneumatic/electric tools. (Grinder, Dynafile, impact driver, etc.) Operating oxy/acetylene torch and or plasma cutting equipment Operating small equipment. (Tractor, fork truck, etc.) Operating fabrication equipment. (Band Saw, Press Break, Drill Press, etc.) Work independently and cooperatively in an active fabrication shop environment. Follow shop Person Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Cross-train as needed to perform work tasks when necessary.
