Welder/Fabricator Join Our Manufacturing Team and Build a Rewarding Career!
Compensation & Shift Details:
Hourly Rate:
$18/hr based on experience Monday-Friday 12:00 pm-11:30 pm or 1 pm-11:30 pm
Purpose:
Welder/Fabricator is responsible for assembling and constructing metal products according to customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Set up and operate fabricating machines including drill presses, rolls, welders, plasma cutters, grinders, torches and band saws. Read and interpret blueprints to determine job specifications. Position, align, fit, and weld parts according to blueprints and layout specifications. Design and construct templates and fixtures. Measure work for conformance to specifications using measuring tools including but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, tape measure, square, protractor, and/or ruler. MIG/TIG weld carbon steel, stainless, and/or aluminum. Move parts/material manually or by using a hoist or crane. Verify dimensions and product specification for Quality Control purposes. Complete necessary training and certification to operate hi-lo equipment safely and efficiently as needed to perform job duties. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
Proficiency with MIG/TIG welding techniques and processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications. Strong math skills and expertise with quality measuring devices including but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges and/or protractors. Acute attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logic to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet scheduled daily goals.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1-2 years welding/fabrication experience.
Requirements:
Ability to read/write/speak in English Ability to stand throughout entire shift with frequent bending and twisting. Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally. Hi-lo certification may be needed to perform job duties and requires a valid driver's license. May be required to perform other jobs outside of your department as needed.
