WELDER/REPAIR WELDER
) for our Harper Woods, MI facility. This position is responsble for the repair of weld defects produced by Automated Weld Robots, supporting production operators in meeting their production goals. The department is structured as a formal team, and requires the ability to work within the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform various manual welding repairs as required to achieve production requirements Perform various visual and/or manual activities to inspect or verify the accuracy of weld Record repair counts, print labels and place on containers Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe Various other duties as required by the department Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience Two - Three years MIG welding experience Skills Must have experience MIG Welding, and be able to pass a manual MIG Welding test Ability to follow established procedures Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability Knowledge of

Knowledge of Mig Welding Knowledge of AWS Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a hand welder, pack, and/or grip and operate hand tools Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees Computer literacy skills include the ability to perform basic data entry and to operate visual 'touch screen' display panels Math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks are required Ability to work effectively with people Licensure Internal Weld Certification Safety Safety glasses are required. Other safety equipment required on an as needed basis. Work Environment Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment. Physical Demands Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment. Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and the ability to move throughout the plant. The ability to lift 40 pounds is required. The work requires regular standing, moving about, and involves a variety of physical activities.
Pay:
$23.83 - $25.04 per hour
