Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mig Welder to join our team on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on sheet metal, pipe, and other metal materials following detailed blueprints and technical drawings Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings accurately Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and fit-up of components Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and rigging equipment safely and effectively during fabrication processes Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA standards Assemble fabricated parts using welding techniques such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) Experience Prior experience in a fabrication shop or metal manufacturing environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding with knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society) standards Construction site experience or familiarity with structural steel welding is a plus Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math confidently Hands-on experience with rigging, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding operations and metal fabrication equipment Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Join our team if you are passionate about welding craftsmanship, thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, and are committed to producing top-tier metal products!
