Job Description

MIG & TIG
Welder Sterling Heights, MI 7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F 40-45 Hours Per Week (OT based on workload)
Responsibilities:
Perform both MIG and TIG welding. Set-up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams and fixtures following welding procedures to weld in all positions including the use of rotary turntables for manual welding. Inspects, maintains and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for welding and fabricating. Sets up machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form, inspect material to meet fabrication drawing requirements. Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and welding Visual weld inspection using fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges and final weld fixtures.
Qualifications:
5 or more years of TIG and MIG welding experience in non-production setting. Proficient with a variety of materials including steel, stainless, invar, and aluminum. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to use precision measurement instruments Welding Certifications would be a plus. Must have own tools, rolling toolbox and PPE.
