• Job Description
• This role focuses on MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel to produce exhaust systems for power generation, oil and gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road applications.

You will primarily perform a mix of custom and production-style MIG welding, with additional responsibilities in tack welding and assembling exhaust components. Success in this position requires strong blueprint reading skills, the ability to interpret weld symbols, and a willingness to support a variety of tasks throughout the fabrication shop.

• Responsibilities
• + Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel to manufacture exhaust systems for multiple industrial markets.

+ Carry out custom and production-style MIG welding according to engineering specifications and job requirements.

+ Complete tack welding operations and assemble exhaust components into finished products.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to build products accurately from prints.

+ Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure precise fabrication.

+ Assist with general metal fabrication tasks, including operating equipment such as brake presses, shears, and rollers as needed.

+ Support fabrication processes that may involve plasma cutting and wire feed welding techniques.

+ Participate in weld tests that require building a product from a print to demonstrate welding and blueprint reading proficiency.

+ Perform a variety of tasks throughout the shop to support production needs and expand skills within the company.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with facility standards and shop procedures.

• Essential Skills
• + Proven welding experience gained on the farm, at school, or in a professional work environment.

+ Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and build products directly from prints.

+ Ability to read and understand weld symbols.

+ Hands-on experience with general welding processes, including MIG welding and tack welding.

+ Competence using measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions.

+ Basic knowledge of metal fabrication processes.

+ Capability to participate in and pass a weld test that involves building a product from a print.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience with TIG welding is beneficial. + Experience in metal fabrication, including familiarity with brake presses, shears, rollers, and related shop equipment. + Exposure to plasma cutting and wire feed welding processes. + Comfort working on a variety of fabrication and welding tasks across the shop. + Ability to learn new fabrication techniques and adapt to evolving production needs.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, MN.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $22.

00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
