Job Description

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Fitter Welder to join our precision sheet metal fabrication team in Alto, GA. In this on-site role, you will interpret blueprints, fit, and weld custom metal components using MIG and TIG processes for a variety of industries. You'll operate advanced fabrication equipment, inspect your work for accuracy and quality, and support assembly and finishing operations. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to prepare materials for welding and fitting Set up, fit, and weld metal components using MIG and TIG welding processes Operate cutting, grinding, and forming equipment to fabricate precision sheet metal parts Inspect welds and finished assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve fabrication issues Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5 S/lean manufacturing practices Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition Document work performed and follow production schedules and work orders Assist with assembly and finishing operations as needed to meet delivery deadlines Participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives Required Skills MIG welding TIG welding Blueprint reading Fabrication layout and fitting Use of measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares) Metal cutting and grinding Weld inspection and quality control Safe operation of shop equipment (press brakes, shears, saws) Material handling and rigging basics Basic mechanical and assembly skills
