Job Description
We are searching for candidates with prior MIG welding experience for our 2nd shift Welder role located in North Kansas City, MO. This company offers room to grow learning tasks in fabrication in addition to new welding techniques. If interested, candidates will have to complete a weld test. Please apply with updated work history. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Apply appropriate welding process to materials and repair welds on parts per specifications
- Perform as a team member which requires you to cross-train on other departments
- Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment and completed products
- Weld various metals such as stainless steel and galvanized
- Read and understand tape measures, various gauges, work orders, charts, and safety regulations
- Knowledge and skills with multiple welding processes (Fuel Gas, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc)
Welder Requirements:
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended amounts of time
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel as needed
- Able to read and interpret blueprints
- High level of attention to detail and organized
- Strong Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with customers, coworkers, and leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient with computers including handheld scanners
