- We are seeking an experienced
- Welder
- to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work alongside skilled team members to build highly engineered, custom mobile material handling equipment for rail-related markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong MIG welding skills, blueprint reading experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Key Responsibilities
- Welding & Fabrication
- + Perform MIG welding on fabricated parts, components, and assemblies. + Fabricate small components as required. + Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems according to specifications. + Prepare machinery and equipment for shipment.
- Production & Quality
- + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, routings, and work instructions. + Test and calibrate components to ensure compliance with product specifications and tolerances. + Identify and repair defects or non-conforming parts as needed. + Complete production and quality assurance documentation accurately.
- Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- + Participate in team meetings and production discussions. + Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve processes. + Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts. + Assist and mentor less experienced team members when appropriate.
- Safety & Housekeeping
- + Follow all safety policies and procedures. + Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles. + Adhere to Quality Management System requirements.
- Qualifications
- Required
- + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English. + Ability to operate hand tools and measuring devices. + Basic computer skills for data entry and reviewing work instructions. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Preferred
- + 3-5+ years of experience in a custom-build manufacturing environment. + Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience. + Experience interpreting 3D prints and schematics. + Experience working with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or fabrication projects.

- Physical Requirements
- + Must wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, climb, and work underneath equipment for extended periods.
+ Frequently lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
+ Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and occasional exposure to welding fumes and production by-products.
