Employees:
3 years minimum of welding experience required. 3 years minimum of fabrication experience required. On-site welding test required. Electrical wiring, mechanical, and plumbing assembly is a plus. We need someone who wants to do more than simply be a "welder", who works well in team environments and independently. Knowledge of and ability to follow basic safety practices. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and perform physical actions such as squatting, reaching, standing for long periods of time, and lifting and carrying objects. Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties. Experience operating Plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch, bandsaw, shear, metal bender, iron worker, punch press Knowledge of safe/proper rigging. Chains, chokers, shackles, chain falls, etc. Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge Determine project requirements, such as material needed, assembly sequences. Experience making custom jigs/fixtures for different projects. Ability to work well in stressful situations Good verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills Ability to read and understand blueprints Experience in heavy and light steel fabrication and welding Occasionally weld in awkward positions, such as bending, stooping, leaning, crouching, pulling and pushing Mathematical Skills Must be proficient in the use of tape measure and calipers, other metric measurements, and basic math. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Frequent use of hands, and simple grasping; hand and body twisting; frequent walking, standing, bending, stepping up and down, carrying, and reaching. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Standard protocols are to be followed to maintain a safe environment, including but not limited to ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and appropriate clothing. Must be able to maintain regular attendance per current attendance standards. Must be available to work various shifts, including Saturdays; overtime. Travel for work is required. Travel time is 25% -between 3 days to 2 weeks or more at a time. Responsible for good housekeeping, organizing and cleaning Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Forklift And heavy equipment experience is a plus.
