Job Description

This role involves performing advanced welding techniques, including TIG and Stick welding, to create high-purity process piping. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing 6G welding certifications for both carbon and stainless steel, ensuring high-quality welds for various applications. Collaboration with a team of skilled welders and engineers will be essential in maintaining safety and quality standards in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete 6G coupons for carbon steel using TIG for the root and fill, and Stick for the cap, ensuring compliance with ASME Section IX. Perform welding on 2-inch Schedule 10 stainless steel coupons and pass visual inspections. Demonstrate manual TIG welding skills for sanitary tubing, focusing on precision and cleanliness. Set up and program orbital welding machines to meet project specifications, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
Required Qualifications:
Possess a valid 6G welding certification, demonstrating proficiency in welding techniques. Show experience with TIG and Stick welding, including practical application in a production environment. Have a background in carbon steel welding, with the ability to tackle various thicknesses and types of projects. Demonstrate experience with stainless steel welding, including knowledge of specific techniques and challenges.
