Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise will ensure precision and quality in the creation of structural and mechanical metal parts used across various construction and manufacturing projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication techniques, contribute to high-quality projects, and uphold safety standards on the shop floor and construction sites. Responsibilities Must be able to Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately cut, weld, and assemble metal components. Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe work environment during all fabrication activities on-site or in the shop. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and ensure proper assembly of fabricated components for construction or manufacturing projects. Proven experience working in a fabrication shop environment or on construction sites involving metal fabrication is a must. Hands-on experience with MIG welding Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and shop math fundamentals. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, forklifts, and related machinery safely. Construction site experience is highly desirable for understanding project requirements in real-world environments. Knowledge of safety standards related to welding and fabrication work is essential for maintaining a compliant workplace.
