Job Summary Loenbro is looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. This position will plan, lay-out, weld, install, evaluate, and repair all types of steel structures / piping in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards. Essential Job Responsibilities Responsible for performing welding on new construction & maintenance - repairs on industrial projects. Supervise and train welder helpers. Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications, and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of structures in accordance with those plans and specifications. Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may occur. Take corrective actions as needed. Carefully choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Prior welding experience in construction, mining or related industry OR a two-year vocational-technical degree preferred. Proficient in the properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and various welding techniques. Welding processes most used are SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW. Other processes utilized are Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting. Must have working knowledge of various welding codes and specifications.

Must be able to meet all physical requirements. Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations. High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeship required. Work Environment:

Outside most of the time. Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures. Limited working surfaces. Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. Exposure to areas with limited visibility. Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights). Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks. If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
