Build Your Future with Environmental Air Systems! Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for Welders to join our fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.

TRAINING IN HIGH POINT, NC

We are currently looking for welders to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand-new facility in Asheboro, NC!

Responsibilities:

Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements Follow proper safety instructions Work in a team environment Perform other duties as needed by supervision

Education Requirements:

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Specific Structural Welding Skills:

Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material Good verbal communication skills with other employees Positive attitude Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements Ability to read blueprints

Specific Physical Skills:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
