Job Description
Plan, layout and perform a variety of welding, grinding and air arcing operations to repair a wide variety of parts for use in all ATI rotary forge facilities, press department, and outside vendors. Work from samples, drawing, sketches and other information and instructions to plan layout and perform all required welding and grinding operations involved in the repair of existing parts and fabrication of new parts. Perform carbon arc, tig, and stick welding operations utilizing super alloy electrodes. Detect and report defective materials, improper operation and unusual conditions. Refer all errors to proper supervision for correction. Safely operate lift trucks & cranes to maintain material flow throughout the department. Complete daily checklists on equipment & hammer inventory. Participate in Standard Work projects. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
