Job Description
Openwork is currently seeking experienced 1st Shift Welders for a long-term opportunity in Norwood, NC. This is a safety-critical position requiring strong attention to detail, quality, and the ability to produce accurate welds that meet company standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a MIG Welder/Wire Welder to complete welding projects according to specifications
- Perform quality welds while maintaining safety and production standards
- Read and interpret measurements and job requirements
- Ensure proper fit, alignment, and accuracy of welded components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding/wire welding experience required
- Strong measuring skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Ability to pass a tape measure skills assessment
- Must successfully complete a welding skills test on scrap material
- Must demonstrate safe work practices and reliability
