Trust Crete United and AC Corp to make every community better and built-environment more sustainable. AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hands-on welding and fabrication position for someone who enjoys building things and takes pride in quality work. You'll use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while working with a variety of metals to fabricate custom equipment and components. This isn't a production-line welding job. Our welders work from drawings, take measurements, cut and form material, and help build products from start to finish. What You'll Do Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding Fabricate metal components and assemblies from drawings and measurements Measure, cut, fit, form, and weld material to required specifications Read and interpret fabrication drawings and dimensions Perform material take-offs and determine appropriate sizes, thicknesses, and metal types Operate fabrication tools and equipment such as grinders, plasma cutters, bandsaws, shears, rollers, and press brakes Check measurements throughout the fabrication process to ensure accuracy Work with other team members to safely move and position materials and finished products Follow established safety procedures and wear required PPE Operate a forklift as needed; training can be provided What We're Looking For Welding experience required Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding ; experience with multiple processes is strongly preferred Interest and experience in metal fabrication , not just welding Ability to accurately read a tape measure Basic math skills, including fractions Ability to read and work from drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to figure out how to get the job done Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking, bending, and squatting Ability to work in both hot and cold shop environments Ability to safely wear required PPE, including welding helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective gloves What You'll Help Build Our Fabrication team works on a variety of custom products and projects, including: Ductwork Scrubbers Pipe stands Fan bases Platforms and permanent ladders Mezzanines Handrails Other custom-fabricated metal components
