Trailer Technician (1st Shift)
Location:
Thomasville NC Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full-Time | 1st Shift 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday Join Our Team as a Trailer Technician! We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team in Thomasville NC. In this role, you will perform a variety of welding and fabrication functions on aluminum and steel trailers, including complex, precision welds requiring high strength and accuracy. Mickey Truck Bodies is a premier manufacturer of state-of-the-art bodies and trailers, and specially engineered vehicles sold in over 50 countries around the world. The innovative product line-up is prevalent in industries such as food & beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency & rescue, battery, oil & natural gas, and data storage. The company operates in 4 states with over 400 Mickey employees at these locations. If you have experience in aluminum and steel welding, enjoy hands-on fabrication work, and take pride in producing high-quality results — we want to hear from you! What You'll Do Perform welding operations on aluminum and steel components Weld overhead and underneath trailers Read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications Plan and lay out welding sequences Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales, rules, or templates Position and align workpieces for accurate welds Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment Measure workpieces to ensure accuracy and quality Perform minor machine maintenance and setup Observe operations to detect defects or malfunctions Follow all safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
What We're Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications:
Welding certification preferred DC/AC wiring Plumbing and carpentry skills a plus Ability to read a tape measure accurately Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints Basic math skills Strong problem-solving abilities Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
