Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality metal products that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of welding techniques and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark metal materials accurately and ensure precise cuts and welds. Cut, shape, and assemble steel and other metal materials utilizing plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Fabricate structural components by welding, soldering, and assembling metal parts following safety protocols at all times. Maintain quality control by inspecting welds and fabricated parts for defects or deviations from specifications. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools effectively. Mechanical knowledge of tools, machining equipment, power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, soldering irons, and assembly techniques. Familiarity with safety standards related to welding and fabrication environments; ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Experience working with metal fabrication and understanding of shop math for precise measurements. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations necessary for fabrication tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in all projects.
