Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding tasks across a variety of projects, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks. Your expertise will contribute to the successful assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver durable and reliable welded solutions that meet industry standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and pipe welding according to project specifications and safety protocols Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings to determine welding procedures and sequence of operations Fabricate components by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding metal parts using hand tools and power tools while maintaining safety standards Execute pipe threading, pipe fitting, pipe installation, tube bending, and soldering tasks with precision to ensure proper fit and function Maintain compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards, ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards, and other relevant regulations Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using calipers and other measurement tools; document inspection results accurately Support maintenance activities by repairing or replacing piping systems and sprinkler components as needed on construction sites Skills Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, pipe welding, and fire sprinkler fitting techniques Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings for accurate execution of tasks Mechanical knowledge related to pipefitting, pipe threading, assembly processes, rigging, and fabrication methods Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, power tools safely and effectively on construction sites Knowledge of NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards for pipeline fabrication and installation Ability to interpret technical schematics and schematics for complex piping systems; familiarity with construction site safety regulations Experience with pipe installation including soldering, tube bending, pipe threading; understanding of pipeline maintenance practices Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence including power tool safety practices on active construction sites Construction site experience with sprinkler systems installation or fire protection systems preferred
