Trailer Manufacturing | Metal Fabrication | Solar-Powered Trailers The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for welding, fabrication, modification, and assembly of steel andaluminum components used in the manufacturing of SPOG trailers. This is a hands-on production position for someone who takes pride in clean, strong welds and qualityworkmanship. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and cantake a project from raw material through fabrication, welding, finishing, and installation.Experience working on cargo trailers, utility trailers, RVs, trucks, automotive equipment, structuralfabrication, or custom metal projects is highly desirable.
Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their welding and fabrication skills as part of the hiring process. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and general metal fabrication.
- Weld and fabricate steel and aluminum trailer components.
- Fabricate brackets, frames, supports, mounts, doors, equipment racks, and other custom components.
- Cut, grind, drill, fit, and prepare metal for welding and assembly.
- Measure and lay out materials accurately before fabrication.
- Modify trailer frames and structural components according to specifications.
- Install fabricated components onto trailers.
- Read and follow drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
- Inspect welds and completed work for quality and accuracy.
- Use grinders, saws, drills, welding machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Work with the manufacturing team to keep trailers moving through production.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper welding practices. Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with MIG welding required.
- Steel fabrication experience required.
- Aluminum welding experience is a strong plus.
- Trailer, automotive, RV, truck body, or equipment fabrication experience is preferred.
- Ability to accurately use tape measures and basic fabrication tools.
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
- Experience cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and assembling metal components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
