Shift Requirements:
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Welder for a 1st shift opportunity in Fairfield, OH. This position is responsible for fabricating and processing parts according to shop drawings while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Fit, tack, and weld mild carbon steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel, and aluminum Perform MIG and TIG welding Operate plasma torch and other welding/fabrication equipment Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints Use measuring devices to verify dimensions and specifications Process parts according to drawings with minimal supervision Produce quality welds with minimal to no spatter Maintain quality standards while minimizing scrap and material waste Inspect completed work to ensure parts meet required specifications Properly use hand tools and welding equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Report equipment malfunctions, damage, or repair needs Accurately complete timesheets, scrap reports, and other required documentation Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE Pass the Navy Tech Pub exam and weld according to required standards Qualifications High school diploma or trade school education preferred Minimum 2 years of welding experience MIG and TIG welding experience required Experience welding mild steel, 304/316 stainless steel, and aluminum Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings Ability to use measuring devices accurately Ability to use hand tools and fabrication equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to quality and detail Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions Must meet Navy Welder certification requirements according to the applicable qualification standards #IND2

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
