Job Description
1st Shift Welder $22-$30/hr. Marion, OH Job Description This role offers an opportunity for an experienced welder to join a rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing company. You will work in a job shop environment, performing MIG welding and fabrication on a variety of projects while interpreting blueprints and collaborating closely with machinists in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting. Responsibilities Perform high-quality MIG welding on stainless steel and other materials in a job shop environment. Interpret and work from blueprints to set up and complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately and efficiently. Carry out fabrication activities such as cutting, punching, and grinding steel to prepare parts for welding and assembly. Program and operate machines either at the machine or at a computer using prints as a reference. Run between 1 to 4 different parts per day, which may include short runs of multiple parts or longer runs of a single part over several days. Operate up to two machines at a time while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Collaborate with machinists and other team members in a job shop environment to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Follow the company's quality management system and adhere to established procedures and best practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and materials. Support a fast-paced production environment by meeting output expectations and assisting with other tasks as needed. Essential Skills 3-5 years of welding experience, including work in a machining or job shop environment. Proficiency in MIG welding on stainless steel.

certification (required). Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Hands-on fabrication experience, including cutting, punching, and grinding steel. Experience working efficiently from blueprints to produce quality parts. Ability to operate and work alongside CNC machines, lathes, and mills in a machining environment. Capability to manage multiple tasks or machines simultaneously in a fast-paced setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a machinist or CNC machinist is highly beneficial but not required. Experience working in a job shop that serves automotive and other industrial customers. Comfort collaborating with machinists and other skilled trades in a production environment. Ability to adapt to varying production demands, including short and long production runs. Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance to support production and quality goals. You will work in a machine room that is climate controlled to protect equipment and provide a comfortable setting. The atmosphere is easygoing yet fast-paced, with close collaboration among machinists and welders. The standard schedule is a first-shift role, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Saturday hours from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. as needed. New hires can expect to work the 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. schedule. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt, and steel-toe footwear, with uniforms provided after direct hire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
