Job Description
SUMMARY
Fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assembly by performing the following duties.
Fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assembly by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fit up parts prior to weld.
- MIG or TIG various parts in different material types.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check quality requirements.
- Personally, conduct all quality checks before moving to Quality Department.
- Understand and interpret prints and technical drawings.
- Grinding, sanding and cutting using a plasma cutter, as required.
- Adhere to Lean Manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements and all safety programs.

- Advance position qualification (minimum 3G)
- Multi-pass certification
- Oxy/Fuel or Plasma
- Robot Operator
- Spot Weld
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated success is fit-up of parts to be welded.
- Math and blueprint skills.
- Self-starter, capable of completing task(s) with minimal supervision.
