Full-Time, Permanent We are currently looking for a skilled Fabrication Welder to join a leading manufacturing organization based in Youngstown, Ohio. In this position, you will contribute to the production of high-quality sheet metal components, metal structures, and enclosures, working either independently or as part of a collaborative team to ensure all customer requirements are met. Core Responsibilities Execute high-quality MIG welding on stainless and mild steel, including stud, tack, and spray transfer MIG techniques. Analyze complex engineered drawings and shop prints to determine exact weld lengths, placements, positions, and alignments. Prepare, fit, square, and align components for final assembly while performing basic fittings and torch cutting. Ensure finished products meet dimensional standards by inspecting parts and weld beads, performing necessary repairs to maintain quality. Support the team by maintaining square and plum dimensions during welding and removing excess material through grinding and finishing to improve overall product quality. Help maintain a safe and organized workspace by operating forklifts and overhead cranes while notifying inspectors when items are ready for review. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of professional welding experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating material handling equipment and manufacturing machinery like CNC lasers, brake presses, shears, and plasma cutters. At least 2 years of experience utilizing fabrication tools such as clamps, squares, and fillet gauges, alongside a strong ability to interpret blueprints and use a tape measure. Proficiency in converting decimals to fractions and utilizing mathematical conversion charts. At least 2 years of experience working with established Quality Assurance Procedures to ensure consistent output. Preference for candidates holding 1G and 3G welding certifications; forklift certification is preferred, though 2 years of operating experience is mandatory.
