Job Description
2nd Shift Production Welder Zanesville Steel LTD - Zanesville, Ohio Full-Time | 2nd Shift Zanesville Steel LTD is looking for a dependable, skilled Production Welder to join our second-shift team. We are a locally owned steel fabrication company specializing in custom steel shipping racks, material handling racks, carts, tables, stands, and other fabricated products for the automotive and manufacturing industries . This position will work directly with both manual MIG welding and our FANUC robotic welding system . It is a great fit for someone who is comfortable in a production environment, takes pride in consistent weld quality, and is interested in working with automated welding technology. What You'll Do MIG weld steel components and assemblies in a production environment Work directly with our FANUC robotic welder , including loading and unloading parts, monitoring weld cycles, and supporting production through the robotic welding cell Assist with basic robot setup, part positioning, fixture changes, and troubleshooting as trained Inspect robot-welded parts for weld quality, consistency, and defects Weld repetitive parts and assemblies according to prints, fixtures, and work instructions Read and understand basic fabrication drawings and weld symbols Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed Fit and position components using jigs and fixtures Inspect your own work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy Grind, clean, and finish welds when required Maintain consistent production throughout the shift Keep your work area and robotic welding cell organized and properly maintained Follow all shop and safety procedures Work with supervisors and other team members to keep jobs moving through production What We're Looking For MIG welding experience preferred Experience with FANUC robots, robotic welding, automation, or CNC equipment is a plus, but not required Willingness and ability to learn robotic welding equipment Ability to produce clean, consistent welds Ability to work from prints, measurements, and fixtures Comfortable using grinders and common fabrication tools Able to measure accurately using a tape measure Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Able to work independently once trained Willing to accept feedback and correct issues when necessary Able to maintain quality without sacrificing production pace Someone who comes to work ready to work Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, automotive racking, repetitive production welding, robotic welding, or structural fabrication is a plus.
