Responsibilities:

Weld metal parts: Use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to build and repair heavy steel parts for mining machines.

Read blueprints: Follow blueprints and drawings to make sure parts are cut and welded to the right size.

Inspect your work: Check welds to make sure they are strong, clean, and free of defects.

Use shop tools: Safely operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other metalworking tools.

Stay safe: Follow all safety rules, keep your work area clean, and wear required safety gear (like welding helmets, gloves, and steel-toe boots).

Education:

High School Experience:

36 months The ideal candidate will possess a technical diploma or certification in welding with a minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry specific equipment.

Physical:

Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)

Standing / Walking

Bending / Stooping / Kneeling

Hot Environments

PPE Required (Noise / Chemical / Dust)

Skills:

At least 3 years of welding experience.

Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.

Good physical strength - you should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Strong focus on safety and doing high-quality work.

High school diploma or GED preferred, but relevant trade school or job experience counts, too.
