Job Description
Superior Energy Resources , A leading oil and gas field services provider and manufacturer has an opening for a Welder/Fabricator within their Brockway based Fabrication Shop.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling steel components to precise specifications while supporting daily shop and field operations. Key Responsibilities- Fabricate steel assemblies to required tolerances from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Accurately lay out, prepare, fit, and weld materials and joints.
- Maintain the highest quality standards throughout all stages of manufacturing.
- Perform visual inspections of completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Efficiently utilize materials, consumables, and resources to minimize waste.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Exercise proper care, operation, and maintenance of company equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both shop and field settings.
- Ensure all PPE is maintained in good working conditions and report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately.
- Support company operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Lead or Management Team.
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of vehicles following completion of field projects. Qualifications
- Minimum [3-5+] years of welding and steel fabrication experience.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints, drawings, and fabrication sketches using AutoCAD/Inventor or Fusion preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and shop practices.
- Familiar with press brake, plate roller, iron worker, CNC, and saws and Pronest software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a valid driver's medical examination certificate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to help train and mentor new employees on processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
