Our company is built on the values of hard work, respect, and honesty, with a strong commitment to employee safety. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our organization. The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components and equipment used in sewer, water, and gas utility installations, with a focus on construction equipment and trucks. This position requires strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Examples of responsibilities would include but are not limited to: Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, sketches, and specifications to determine project requirements. Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and other metals using various processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) to meet quality standards. Measure, cut, brace, align, and assemble metal components such as buckets or equipment; fit and weld components on-site. Weld and fabricate components for construction equipment and trucks, including frames, brackets, supports, and mounting interfaces. Inspect welds for quality, dimensions, and conformity to codes; perform non-destructive testing or coordinate testing as required. Operate and maintain welding equipment, torches, grinders, and hand tools; perform routine maintenance and safety checks. Adhere to all local, state, and federal welding codes and safety regulations (OSHA) and company safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours logged. Qualifications Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator Proficient in multiple welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and capable of welding in various positions. Familiarity with welding codes and standards Must be able to lift up to 50-100 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure while maintaining quality. W.A. Petrakis is a drug-free workplace; candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
