Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality welding work using MIG processes while accurately interpreting blueprints to produce precise and durable welded components. The position requires a safety-conscious professional who can contribute to efficient production and maintain high standards of workmanship. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components in accordance with job specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and welding requirements. Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment and tools to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently. Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and structural integrity, and make adjustments or repairs as needed. Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while working. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are in proper working condition. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and resolve any production issues. Document work performed as required, including any deviations from specifications or rework completed. Work Environment The position is based in a welding and fabrication environment that involves working with MIG welding equipment, metal components, and standard shop tools. You can expect to spend most of the day on your feet, handling materials, operating welding machinery, and working at welding stations or workbenches. The setting may include moderate noise, sparks, and exposure to typical shop conditions, so appropriate personal protective equipment such as welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing is required. Work hours are typically structured around regular shop or production schedules, with tasks driven by project timelines and daily production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Mifflin, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
