Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications
- Set up welding equipment and ensure proper settings for each project
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Use hand and power tools to prepare materials for welding, such as grinding or cutting
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques
- Proficiency in plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and pipe threading
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using welding equipment, including MIG welders, torches, and grinders
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to operate a crane or other lifting equipment is a plus
