Job Description
Currently seeking experienced Submerged Arc Welders , also known as SAW Welders or Sub-Arc Welders , to support steel fabrication and welding operations. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience with submerged arc welding in a structural steel, heavy fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires strong welding ability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow welding procedures, blueprints, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform Submerged Arc Welding / SAW / Sub-Arc Welding on steel components Weld structural steel, plate, beams, or heavy fabricated parts Set up and operate SAW welding equipment Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions Follow WPS procedures and company quality standards Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and defects Prepare materials as needed, including cleaning, fitting, and positioning Maintain a safe and organized work area Complete weld tests as required by the client Requirements Previous hands-on experience with Submerged Arc Welding / SAW Experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, or heavy industrial welding preferred Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols Ability to work from WPS instructions Must be able to pass a weld test Strong attention to quality and safety Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift Preferred Certifications
