Combo Welder:

Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, often in pipe welding applications. Perform welding tasks using various processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick, Flux-Cored). Fit and align pipes according to blueprints and isometric drawings. Must have at least 5 years industrial experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Combo Welder to join our team on the night shift. This dynamic role involves performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all metal components meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical knowledge, excellent blueprint reading skills, and hands-on experience with multiple welding techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork are paramount. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures. Perform welding using various methods including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use construction site experience to understand structural requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols during assembly and welding operations. Operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely for material handling and positioning of large metal parts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times. Skills Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of structural steel fabrication and assembly. Proficiency in interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans. Strong welding skills across multiple techniques including FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, machining processes, plasma cutting, and assembly techniques. Familiarity with construction safety standards and protocol adherence in a fabrication shop environment. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, cranes, and other fabrication machinery.
