Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical fabrication will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects on construction sites and within fabrication shops. Duties Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to guide fabrication and welding processes Perform welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication Fabricate metal components for construction projects or custom fabrications with attention to detail and safety protocols Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the fabrication shop or on construction sites while adhering to safety procedures Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately Skilled in welding techniques including FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and effectively Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, metal materials handling, sheet metal fabrication, and construction processes Experience working with construction site safety protocols and adherence to OSHA or equivalent safety standards Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating within a team environment Join our team if you're passionate about metal fabrication and welding!
