Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, ensuring safety, precision, and durability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and other hand tools to ensure precise cuts and welds. Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials through cutting, shaping, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes. Operate fabrication shop equipment including plasma cutters, power tools, and machining tools while adhering to all safety protocols. Measure and mark materials accurately using shop math skills to meet project specifications. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or within the fabrication shop to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Requirements Proven construction site experience or fabrication shop experience with metal materials. Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fabrication processes. Familiarity with construction experience including assembly on-site or in-shop fabrication projects. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Competence in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments effectively. Ability to adhere to AWS standards for welding quality and safety compliance.
