- The welder/fabricator is responsible for fitting, tacking and welding assemblies according to print and specifications. Duties
- Fit up, tack and weld assemblies Work with other fabricators to assemble and weld larger assemblies Inspect provided materials before assemblies Read and understand fabrication drawings prior to fit up Inspect own completed work and fix defects prior to QC inspection Identify and report conflicts or need for clarification in fabrication documents Follow OSHA and site safety requirements and take steps to prevent injuries or incidents Follow company fabrication processes May need to perform other duties as required (cutting parts, etc) Qualifications•Prior experience as a fabricator preferred Must be able to pass weld test Ability to understand drawings, weld symbols and tolerance Experience in structural steel, handrails, guardrails, stairs, red iron, shop fabrication and field erection a plus Ability to fabricate off of shop drawings a plus Mig and stick welding experience preferred Must be team and detail oriented and have pride in his/her work Work Conditions•Hours•Summer 6am•3pm; Winter 7am-4pm OT/WE may be occasionally required Indoor/outdoor in hot/cold/dusty/muddy and hazardous environments Physical•Requires walking, standing, bending, crouching, lifting, climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces in hot/cold/dusty/noisy/muddy environments Full Time Pay•$15•$25.
