Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts that meet safety standards and project requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and hand tools to bring designs to life with precision and efficiency. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project specifications. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accurate cuts and welds. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials. Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and assembling parts as per technical specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, inspecting equipment regularly, and following OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks to ensure timely completion of assignments. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and construction practices. Strong adherence to safety protocols while working on construction sites or in fabrication environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and adapt to project needs. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
