8a-5p M-F We are seeking a skilled Research and Development Technician with a minimum of three (3) consecutive years of experience in metal fabrication, assembly, and precision welding. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing fabrication and welding tasks to exact specifications, interpreting blueprints, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining welding equipment and fixtures. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, computer proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately document work performed, materials used, and project timelines. Candidates must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, possess good manual dexterity, and be able to communicate effectively in English. Experience performing inspections of critical part tolerances is required. Formal education and certifications are not mandatory but are highly recommended. Additional experience in woodworking, particularly furniture construction and assembly, is considered a valuable asset. Requirements Minimum of 3 consecutive years experience Basic metal fabrication and assembly knowledge Execute precision welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring strict adherence to specifications and quality standards Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints and develop effective fabrication strategies Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on welding fixtures to ensure optimal performance Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines Ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team of technicians Computer knowledge Ability to communicate/understand English Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process Able to perform inspections for critical part tolerances Good manual dexterity Why Peoplelink Staffing?
