Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency throughout the fabrication process. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and blueprint reading skills to ensure precise fabrication. Assemble fabricated parts through welding, bolting, or riveting while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the fabrication shop or construction site setting. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols. Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in measuring with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and interpreting technical drawings for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials such as sheet metal and structural steel; familiarity with fabrication shop processes. Experience with construction projects involving crane operation, assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and use of hand tools and power tools. Strong understanding of shop math including basic math calculations necessary for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance; adherence to safety protocols at all times. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to mechanical fabrication and construction projects. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with metal fabrication expertise for efficient project execution.
