The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding pipe systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical systems, and construction site safety protocols to ensure high-quality work on various projects involving pipelines, HVAC systems, fire sprinkler fitting, and plumbing installations. Duties Perform MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and soldering on pipe systems following detailed blueprints and schematics Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure precise fabrication and installation Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly Measure and cut pipes accurately using tube bending tools and rigging techniques Fit fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing lines, and pipeline components according to project specifications Maintain proper alignment of pipes using rigging techniques and ensure secure welds that meet quality standards Conduct inspections of welds for defects and perform necessary repairs or rework as needed Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience in welding (MIG, FCAW, TIG), with knowledge of ASME codes & standards preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, threading, soldering, and system assembly Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, tube bending equipment, and rigging operations Construction site experience or manufacturing background is highly desirable Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing installations, pipeline construction, and maintenance work Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards on-site or in the shop setting Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes This position offers an opportunity for experienced welders to contribute their expertise to complex piping projects across various industries.
