Job Title:
6G Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled 6G Welder to join our team, responsible for setting up equipment and welding parts using arc, submerged arc, gas-shielded arc, and TIG machines. You will handle the layout, assembly, installation, and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and trade and building codes. These systems include pipes, fittings, and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, and industrial processing. Responsibilities Set up welding equipment and perform welding using various machines including TIG machines. Layout, assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems according to specifications. Install and maintain systems consisting of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for various functions such as heating and cooling. Ensure all work adheres to appropriate trade and building codes. Participate in the qualification process according to ASME Section IX standards. Essential Skills Proven experience with TIG welding and stainless steel. Ability to handle sheet metal and socket welding. Familiarity with ASME Section IX standards for welding and qualification procedures. Experience setting up and operating a the person 280 machine. It involves hands-on tasks that require attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
