Summary:

Performs welding operations on steel storage components using appropriate welding equipment, procedures, and safety standards. Job Requirements Experience performing welding operations on steel components. Experience setting up and operating welding equipment. Ability to follow welding procedures and fabrication specifications. Knowledge of OSHA requirements applicable to welding and fabrication operations. Ability to use required welding personal protective equipment. Ability to perform production welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Preferred Skills Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience. Experience welding steel storage products or similar fabricated assemblies. Experience reading basic welding drawings, fabrication prints, or work instructions. Experience inspecting completed welds for visible defects and conformance to specifications. Job Responsibilities Weld steel storage components according to production and fabrication requirements. Set up welding machines, fixtures, and related equipment. Operate welding equipment according to established procedures. Inspect welds and completed components for conformance to applicable requirements. Maintain welding equipment and work areas according to established procedures. Follow OSHA and established workplace safety requirements during welding operations. Use required personal protective equipment during fabrication and welding activities.
